Teaching your unit covering the respiratory system doesn’t have to be overwhelming or boring. My students love this webquest activity and I bet yours will too!
A fully digital version of the webquest allows your students to fill out the form and save it in a format that can also be turned in electronically! No waiting in line at the copy machine!
Your students will be having fun and learning as they take an interactive tour on the internet and complete engaging activities. The completed webquest allows you to easily check for understanding and add a grade to your gradebook! This engaging activity makes reviewing or introducing the respiratory system, its structure, and its function easy for you and fun for your students!
These activities are a perfect way to engage students! I’ve found that my students really benefit from webquests, especially around test time. This lesson is a perfect way to incorporate technology into your classroom and is a great way to engage multiple learning styles.

HOW I’VE USED THE LESSON IN MY CLASSROOM
I use this webquest as a key component of my body systems unit. It’s a perfect way to incorporate technology into my classroom! I’ve found this lesson to be a great introduction to the topic of the respiratory system or as a wrap up after covering the respiratory system.
Approximately one to two class period in length (as a point of reference, I teach a 50-minute class). I generally have my students complete the webquest as classwork on day one. As students turn in the completed webquest I have them explore as many of the enrichment activities as possible. We generally complete all the portions of the lesson in two days. Created by Mister Science.
FOR MY FELLOW TEXANS
I use this lesson to support Texas TEKS 7.12B.
However, this lesson would work well in any classroom that covers body systems or the respiratory system.
