Your students will have fun with this one.
This Boggle game is specifically designed to go with the vocabulary used in the short story “El décimo” by Emilia Pardo Bazán. While it’s impossible to include the entire vocabulary list that is used with the story, I included the following words: SOBRETODO, AZAR, ALZAR, HALLAR, BROMA, COBRAR, TERNURA, APURARSE, TENDERSE, DESESPERARSE, SEÑAS, MIMOSO, DÉCIMO and MANTO. However, the students have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of general Spanish vocabulary while playing this game.
I have changed the rules of the traditional game to make it more friendly for the World Language Classroom. Also, I have manipulated the game to solicit answers that relate to the vocabulary from this story specifically. The instructions and rules are included on the second page of the download.
The preview shows the same activity for chapter 9B of the Realidades textbook.
