This is a fun way to end a unit on bones, muscles, and skin. It is great for 3.L.1 or anyone finishing a unit on this topic. The fact that it uses some of the vocabulary terms allows itself to be a little bit of a vocab review, but I wouldn’t label it as such.

Basically, I give a picture really, really close up. Students try to guess which vocab term is being shown (they have a word bank). Then, I zoom out a little, and students have a chance to guess again. Finally, I zoom out more, and students have one last chance before the answer is revealed. Each time it zooms out, it is worth less points.

This comes directly from my human body: bones, muscles, and skin unit plan. The entire unit also has detailed lesson plans, editable students sheets (includes 9 hands-on activities - 1 being optional), study guide and test, and 25 word wall cards. Please click below to access the full resource.
