Read stories about bones, fill in each detail with facts, some need teacher help some can be student generated. Have them cut and glue one lead to top of new paper. Write, cut and glue three details, and cut and glue one wrap up.
Finally, students re-write story on lined paper. I find this really helps teach students paragraph/story structure. It follows the step-up to writing approach which I like for K-2, I intermingle step-up with writers workshop to ensure they know the structure but can compose their own writing as well.
