You would be hard pressed to find a student who wouldn't be more motivated to participate if offered bonus points to do so. The problem for teachers is keeping up with those bonus points. Well, problem solved. The following bonus points make it very clear to students that using and keeping up with the points is their responsibility and not the teacher's. Each slip has a place for students to write their name and directions for students to follow. In order to use the bonus points, students must staple the slip to their paper before turning it in. Once work is turned in, students can no longer use their points on that assignment. This resource has both a PDF of 5 bonus points ready to be printed, and a word document of the template so teachers can easily edit the directions and/or the amount of points given.
