This library skills review game incorporates movement to keep students engaged while reviewing key vocabulary. By using a game that students are already familiar with (bowling), less time is needed to set up and explain the game. Instead, it is easy and quick to implement. Students will be able to enjoy success due to their familiarity with the game premise.
After bowling to knock over pins, the teacher asks each team review questions. Their score is based on correct answers to the questions. Review questions include literary genres, famous book titles and authors, and other library information, such as call numbers and literary awards. Students work as a team to come up with the correct answer.
This packet includes game preparation and directions, along with 64 review questions and answers.
