I have a huge classroom library of free reading books, and I have tried every check-out system imaginable over the last 24 years. I was losing a large number of books per year, so I needed something quick and easy, and something that would get more books returned.
I finally came up with this very simple index card system. I was not sure how it would actually work for me, but after one year, I was sold. Included with the poster are instructions for how I use the system.
The documents within the zip file are all in pdf format.
All of the items I share on TPT are ones I actually use in my middle school classroom. Most have been revised multiple times based on "test runs" with my students. I work hard to make information accessible to students in a fun and simple way while still challenging students to meet and exceed their abilities. Most of my assignments can be used with all ability levels; differentiation comes in my expectations of what individual students or groups can achieve. Many of my activities can be used with individual students or cooperative groups.
Thanks for looking at Middle School Reading Room!
