My best-selling task cards are now available in a nonfiction version! Imagine your students gathered in a small group having meaningful, casual discussions about their leveled books or any nonfiction book (without roles like literature circles) in a kids-only book club. I created these task cards to help to keep student discussions focused. The cards contain a variety of questions and tasks designed to improve reading comprehension of informational text. They can be used with almost any nonfiction book.
There are 20 cards in this set. Print the pages on white cardstock using best print quality settings and laminate them and you'll have your cards for years!
Students can pull a card from a bag or have them faced down in a draw pile for use during book clubs. These are also great for the teacher to use for mini-lessons, read alouds, or during guided reading groups. These cards are a great fit for use during Kagan structures.
