This packet will help you guide your students in any novel study. It will work great for any veteran or teacher new to book clubs. We want to encourage our students that it is a great idea to stop and jot when character do certain things. This resource will help students distinguish between a useful stop and jot and when to just keep on reading!
This 9 page resource starts with students creating book clubs rules. The blank story mountain is a great teaching opportunity. Readers can expect characters to face problems throughout the book. Readers can also expect characters to have reactions to those problems. Students can jot right on these graphic organizers or put the sticky note on it. There are two response questions in this resources as well. Students will be expected to really analyze their character across the story. The end of this resource has space for other jots. Students can jot right there in the box or simply put the sticky.
