These book club roles allow students to practice multiple reading skills throughout the year: summarizing, connecting, predicting, visualizing, asking questions, analyzing characters, and analyzing settings.
I place a copy of these two pages in each child’s notebook. They refer to these when we respond to literature. Whether I ask students to respond to a book club (literature circle) reading or to a read aloud, they use these pages to prepare their responses.
