Students can use this handout to take notes as they read their novels. The notes use "Reading is Thinking" strategies that encourage students to stop and think about their reading in very specific ways. Students will write quotes from the text, and then reflect on their connections, predictions, visualizations, strong reactions, and writer's craft.

Log in to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
