These are sticky note templates for when a student asks you to save a book for them. Instead of a list of student names (or in my case promptly forgetting), students can fill out this cute Dibs sticky with their name and the book they’re calling dibs on when it comes back to the library. Our class leaves their stickies on the side of the bookshelf or on the wall near the checkout computer. When a book is returned, the class librarian can put the sticky on the front cover, reserving the book for the next reader.
1. To use, print this template out.
2. Affix blank sticky notes over the squares.
3. Add the sticky note template to your paper tray and print as normal.
(This may take a few tries to figure out which direction to place the paper. Make sure the sticky part of the note enters the printer first to avoid a paper jam.)
