A Secret Santa Book Exchange is my favorite way to strengthen our classroom community during the holidays! My students love the challenge of keeping a secret from their friends, and I love helping them do something kind for their classmates.
The process is simple: students choose a classmate's name from a hat, buy one new or gently used book using that child's reading inventory and then reveal themselves on Secret Reveal Day. It's a small gesture that teaches patience and inspires students to spread kindness beyond the project and throughout the classroom in other ways.
**This product comes with holiday AND non-holiday resources, so if you have students who can't or don't celebrate Christmas, you will still be able to use this resource.

In all of the years I've done secret book exchanges, I have never had a child opt out of participating. To us, this seems like a small gesture, but the impact it makes on our students and classroom culture is enormous.
