Book Floats! An Exciting Twist to Book Reports is an engaging learning activity that motivates reading, oral language, reading comprehension, creativity, and cooperative learning grades 1-4. This is the powerpoint version and it is also editable, so that you can share it with your students as a whole group using a Smart Board or Promethean Active Board.
Students, after reading their own book or a class chapter book, they don’t have to do a boring book report ; instead, they begin to create a book float. The motivation in your class will be sky high! Students can also dress up as their favorite character in the book, create a scene on their float and much more…This is a lifelong tool, you can use it with different grade levels 1-4, gifted and team classes. You can use it as a group project in class or as an individual project. Your students will enjoy it!
