Book Hot Potato is a library media center game designed for use as a quick literature review. After reading a book to students or when you find yourself with a few extra minutes, use this game to promote discussion of a the book. The game is played like hot potato, but when the music stops, the student holding the potato must draw a review question to answer. Since the students are called on at random, even the quietest students will have opportunities to participate and share their knowledge. After the initial preparation, the game is easy and quick to implement. The game incorporates movement with literature to keep students engaged throughout the lesson.
