This "split page" is very flexible: have students use them as a guide for doing a book talk; put them into a binder for students to refer to when they need to find a book; hang them on a bulletin board. These are just some of the ways I have used them.
Students will read ANY book of your/their choice, provide the title/author and genre/text-type, a short summary, a "read to find out" statement, and students will also make check-marks next to reasons why the book is highly recommended-or they can offer their very own reason! The form allows for 2 reviews per page. Teachers can cut and trim them to their liking! I print them onto colored paper.
