This compressed folder holds all the materials you need to assign a creative book report.Rather than having your students present their projects one by one, spice it up! Have your students set up their projects around the room and take turns going around and asking each other questions about their books. In my classroom we like to call it a Literary Cafe, and we make it a time of celebration. The best part is the extra credit option where students can bring in a snack that relates to their book for extra credit. Within this folder you will find:
-An editable word document assignment sheet with 9 possible book report projects including a soundtrack, children's book, poster, cereal box, original song, brown paper bag, diary, brochure, and t-shirt.
-A book report contract
-A weekly reading log
-Three summary sheets to be completed while reading
-A PowerPoint Presentation to explain projects. PowerPoint has examples embedded within.
-Rubrics to grade final projects.
-A literary cafe worksheet.
-An alternative literary cafe assignment for students who fail to turn in a final project
