This book report allows students to have fun and create their favorite character while still reporting facts about their books. I have used these in the class, as homework, and a mixture of both. Either way, the students enjoy working with the art while still reporting about the character and the plot of the story.
They enjoyed reading their stories, keep notes, creating dolls with yarn and other supplies, completing their writings to report, and to give a presentation about their character and the plot of the story they choose. I thoroughly explain each part of the report steps and give practice to each. Once the students know how to complete the report, then it is much easier from them to build a character report on their own or in small groups. Enjoy!
