This item includes directions and a grading rubric for a non-traditional book report. Students write their friend a letter discussing the merits of their individual book. Students choose their friend and follow the guidelines for the content of their letter. Students love writing for each other, rather than for adult. I allowed students to actually use "text language" and encouraged them to have a sense of humor. It was phenomenal what I received back. One copy was for me to grade and the other copy was sent to the "friend"
