Description

Tired of grading boring book report essays? Me too! This Book Report Project allows students to CHOOSE their own way of sharing their knowledge about the book they read. The projects showcase students' talents and interests! Students are able to select between 34 varied projects. No more 20 essays! Students can get creative and show off their abilities!

This resource can be used for FICTION and NONFICTION! I have included project requirements and resources for both.

Students will choose a book and a project. Each project, no matter the project medium chosen, has the same book report requirements. The pages in the book report resource walk students through each step of choosing the right book and project to show off their talents.

3 different rubrics are included! The rubrics are tweaked a little based on the project that the student chooses.

There are 3 options for this Book Report Project. You can do the work in class OR you can send the project home with your students. I have also include a QUARTERLY OPTION. This is my favorite! You can have the students do a book report project each quarter! I have included Parent Letters for all of these options.

EDITABLE OPTIONS! Parent letters and approved book lists can be edited by you to fit your students’ needs!

One completely EDITABLE Parent Letter is included so that you can compose for your parents and your class’ specific needs. The other Parent Letters have an EDITABLE due date and signature!

Book report aids and tools are included. If your students choose to do flip books, dodecahedrons, puzzles, flowers, banana splits, comics and others will have the help of these aids!

Students having trouble organizing their thoughts? No worries! Graphic organizers and helpful handouts are included to get your students on the right track. This resource includes webs, Venn diagrams, plot organizers, and so much more!
