PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Tweet All About It came about when I was trying to come up with a fun and creative way to assign my 6th graders a book report, but didn’t want to do the standard poster/ presentation/ essay. I thought a social media tie in would be the best as today’s kids are so tech savvy. Needless to say, the students loved this assignment, hence why you find it here.
The unit plan includes step by step instructions on how best to use this assignment in your own classroom. Students will be introduced with the concept of twitter and the rule regarding 140 characters per tweet, they will then practice tweeting before setting off on their own to "create" twitter accounts and tweets for their chosen book.
