These are the book reports I do for every month in the school year. Students are assigned the book report at the beginning of the month. I explain the report and have an example for them to see. Then I give the students one week to find a good book to read. I then approve the book they have chosen.
Then at the end of the month we present our book reports and have the students display their project in the hall, classroom, or even in the gym for the whole school to see.
In this zip file you will find all the templates and rubrics. Of course you will need to make your own examples, but I always feel that is better for the students to see what the teacher looks for in an A+.
I also stress to students that if they were to follow all the directions on the rubric and show effort and time, an A+ should be easy to obtain.
