This activity is great for literacy centers, or a closure activity for a reading group or read aloud.
It would also make a great homework assignment for students to use as a scaffold for a book report.
After students read a book, either independently, with a small reading group, or as a read aloud, this activity can be used to assess what students took away from the book, along with their interest level. It also boosts the students' reading confidence and morale, as you are asking them to review a book for others as an expert.
These reviews can also be bound together and put into a student library, so students can go through and see what their peers thought about a book. There is a section at the bottom for the students to give it an overall rating with stars.
