As a culminating activity, the students practice the skill of writing in a concise manner as they describe the details of the novels that they have read. They are required to "sell" their books by means of a Book Review. As a reading community, classroom teachers can build an environment where students collaborate, create, and share knowledge.
With this activity, students choose the template that they prefer, and they formulate concise answers in order to persuade others to read the books that they review. Once the form is completed, students decorate them and make them as beautiful as the other final drafts that go into their Writing Portfolios. This is a fun activity that benefits everyone in the classroom on some level.
NOTE: Off center so that the printables are ready to be three hole-punched for student notebooks.
