If you're like me, it takes a lot of time to record valuable notes of guided reading chapter books as I read. I want to save you precious time! Here is my chapter-by-chapter summary along with a vocab word bank of words that could be tricky or confusing either in meaning or pronunciation.
Use this guide as you prepare your lessons for your guided reading groups. It is always recommended that you read each book you assign your students, but it will be MUCH faster if you don't have to stop every few pages to record your notes about what you've read. As time passes, we can easily forget the story, but this book summary will help your remember. Or if you've already read the book but never took notes – here they are! And just maybe these notes can help you until you have time to read the book.
