Students often talk to each other about books they're reading, so why not capitalize on that? I created this sheet to teach students how to summarize their book rather than retell it. Using this easy-to-follow graphic organizer, they focus on the main plot line instead of the details. Then, they talk about what they've read, but only up to the conflict, leaving their classmates wanting more!
Teach summarization and public speaking, all while discussing favorite books!
