When my students give a book talk, I have the other students play bingo so they can make inferences about their classmate's book while their classmate speaks. This is more fun for them than taking notes and keeps them busy and interested in their classmate's talk. The first two students to stand up and say "BINGO!" gets first shot at proving it. Each has to prove/justify each bingo slot. Book Talk bingo makes the book talk more interactive for the entire group, making passive watchers into participants.
