This book talk brainstorming sheet and rubric asks students to create recommendation of a novel they’ve read. The project requires critical analysis and breaks down talking points by plot, character, conflict, theme, and setting. Students also draw comparisons to other books they’ve read and TV and movies they’ve seen. You can use an episode of our podcast, the YA Café, as a model book talk.

What You Get:

1. General Brainstorming (non-spoilers)

2. In-Depth Brainstorming to support analysis (spoilers)

3. Holistic presentation rubric
