Are your students reading the same couple of books or book series over and over again? Do you want to help them branch out and discover new books and authors? A fun, easy way to introduce your class to books they've not yet discovered is to hold a class book tasting!
Group books together in categories (genres, authors, If you like...you'll like...), cover your tables with tablecloths or butcher paper, display the books on your tables, and invite students to taste the books!
Copy these menus for your students and have them record their thoughts about the different genres, or the books they're interested in reading. There are two "I'd like to order pages..." for students to create a book list to keep in their reading notebooks. This will help them to choose books in the future-they can reference their list when they visit the library!
I've also included a few blank, editable pages so you can tailor the menu to suit your classroom's needs.
