This performance task asks students to create a movie as a final assessment for the Book Thief. It includes all of the steps needed to create the movie (diorama and live action!) and the goal setting sheet and rubrics to correlate to both major steps.

Congratulations! You have been chosen to create a film about the Book Thief in a new and exciting way. You will be designing live scenes, props and scripts, as well as “still” diorama scenes, props and scripts. You will be acting, filming and editing, oh my! So put your creative hats on and get ready to plan and create a fantastic movie!
