In the junior grade, when students do not have their own locker tub or place to put workbooks, I collect and store the class sets of books in between uses on a portable trolley of tubs. These are designed to fit across the front so that labels can be seen easily and correct books selected.
I teach my children to recognise the tub by the symbol if they are unable to read and they become more independent with collecting and putting away books for me :)
Just print, laminate and stick on the tub.
If there are any particular book titles that you use for student books that does not fit one of these categories, I can make up some additional ones by request.
Labels included are:
Handwriting Books as well as Handwriting Text Books (if your school uses a printed text book)
Progressive Journals (an on-going journal of assessment work samples)
Inquiry Folders (for STEM, Investigations etc)
Bee Busy Folders (unfinished work etc)
Maths Books and Maths Folders (for any worksheets to avoid wasting book pages gluing in)
Reading Logs (tracking take home reading)
Diaries (or communication books, depending on year level)
Satchels (for junior grades who take home homework and reading texts and log books in satchels each day)
