One of Children's Choices favorites!!
This activity consists of 38 pages and has the following tasks:
general questions about the book (characters ,author’s purpose,
point-of-view, character info, and setting,
a story wheel for sequencing
very important words and why
words and questions for all six chapters
writing a different ending
a word search
and an opportunity for reading practice
Possible uses would include large or small groups, individual or groups,
literacy centers, sub activities My own opinion is that books have greater
impact and importance when discussed.
About this book
Summary: Knuckle and Potty are tired of being lovable book
characters. Together, they hatch a plan to venture to the
Outer-world by clicking their heels and leaping off the pages
into real life to confront the author and illustrator who created
them. When that plan fails, a trip to Happy World is their last
option. Simple: they’ll just erase Happy World with their
de-zonker contraptions. Little do Knuckle and Potty know that
Happy World isn’t as happy as they think.

IRA: Children’s Choices (choices made by students)
This is a book that is full of fun. It uses a combination of comic book format and regular text. Students will greatly enjoy the silliness and humor.
