When students are presenting their book-talks, the other students sometimes stop paying attention.
A good way to ensure that the students are paying attention to the presenter of the book talk is to make sure that they are responsible for completing a Book-talk Feedback handout.
On this handout, the students are responsible for summarizing the main points made by the presenter.
These include, the title and author of the book that was discussed, a summation of the connections that the presenter made to the text, and more.
I find it is the most essential part of the book talk, and I hope that it helps everyone.
