This product is a fun and engaging activity for your class at the end of a novel study! There are so many books out there that have a movie companion. Every time we watch a movie after reading the book, my students naturally get into the argument of which version is better. So I thought, why not create an assignment based on these natural thoughts and opinions?
My students were asked to fill out the graphic organizer comparing and contrasting the two versions of the text. Then, they will start forming opinions on their favorite parts of each the book and the movie to make a final decision.
Once they have completed these organizers, the students will create a video "blog" sharing their opinions on whether the book or the movie is better. Students are asked to follow the checklist of requirements for their video.
