Product Description
I made this when I was a theater teacher, but it can be used to compare a story to a play easily for grades K, 1, 2 in the regular classroom setting. As students progress into later grades they will be comparing and contrasting texts constantly on standardized tests and progress monitoring assessments. This is a fun way to get those discussions started because it involves a media piece and a text comparison. You can edit this page to say play instead of "Puppet Show" but I found that youtube is a great resource to hunt puppet shows for pretty much any children's story you probably already have in your classroom. With this page, a story, and a puppet show based on that story (on youtube) you have an instant meaningful lesson geared toward standards!
