These bookmarks can be used by students for any text and are perfect for using in conjunction with reading conferences. Each of the twenty-seven bookmarks direct students to watch for different literary elements or techniques as they read their novels. When they find evidence, they record a quotation on the bookmark, as well as notes to explain the significance of the quote. Students can use this information to prepare for reading conferences with you. They can also be used in preparation for small group discussions or for assignments they might do on the book.
Each bookmark is completely editable. Topics covered are:
• Methods of Characterization
• Methods of Thematic Development
• Point of View
• Author Technique
• Author's Use of Language
• Text-to-Self Connections
• Text-to-World Connections
These bookmarks can be used on their own, but they go perfectly with my Reading Conference Guides.
