Objective: To elevate dance appreciation through unique, fun, and exciting rhythmic dance skills with the attempt to alleviating any preconceived negative feelings concerning dance. Note: All dance steps use an 8 or 16 count and L = Left and R = Right. The songs selected (artist is in parenthesis by the dance title) for the dances are not required to perform each dance! All songs can be purchased online at sites such as www.apple.com/itunes or other music sites. The teacher must determine what is appropriate for his or her classes. Simply choose a fun, upbeat song with a similar beat to the song listed beside the dance title if the song cannot be found or is considered inappropriate for your class.
