Boom Cards ™ 2D Shapes Spring Maths - Spring Sprouts - Distance Learning
This Spring Sprouts themed deck consists of 16 cards used in classrooms to support students with learning to recognise and match 2D shapes. This deck of cards requires students to look at the image and then click on the matching 2D shape. Each card contains simple, clear instructions. These cards do not contain audio.
This resource has been designed to support teachers and students through this challenging time of distancing learning. This Boom Cards™ activity is designed to engage students in Kindergarten/Foundation however it could also be used for older students who require learning support intervention.
BONUS - TEACHER/PARENT INSTRUCTION LETTERS WITH VISUALS HAVE BEEN INCLUDED FOR DECKS, FASTPIN AND GOOGLE CLASSROOMS.
Boom cards are brilliant for distance learning as they can be used on ANY interactive device - laptop, desktop, tablet and ipad as long as the student has an internet connection. Boom Cards™ can be glitchy if used on phones so would recommend larger devices for students. Students are able to play with the deck of Boom Cards™ without needing to pay for any membership or subscription.
This is an Australian Made Resource which aligns to Foundation in the Australian Curriculum . This click the correct answer style deck works particularly well for students who are using tablets and iPads.

Once distance learning and this pandemic is over then Boom Cards™ can be used on your classroom interactive whiteboard, Chromebooks and your class iPads. They are an excellent addition to whole class warm ups, fast finisher activities, morning work, independent work, homework activities and maths groups.
Students find them highly engaging and what makes your life easier as a teacher is the fact that these interactive cards mark themselves!! Students do not need to resubmit their work via Google Classroom or SeeSaw. The students get instant feedback as to whether their answer is correct or incorrect. As the teacher you can also track student progress.
I love creating resources which save teachers time. Boom cards require NO PREP - No printing - NO Laminating - and NO Storage. Perfect for use as a casual relief teacher.
What is included with this resource?
16 digital task cards on the BOOM Learning website covering matching and recognition of 2D shapes.
All 16 cards (1 activity per slide) are 'click the correct response' style. Feedback is immediate with a green circle if correct. If incorrect a red circle appears on the number and students can attempt the task again. Students will be given several attempts until the answer is correct.
