Lesson contains: PDF's/Smart notebook files
This lesson is used to introduce the categories of stem-changing boot verbs to Spanish I students. The visual layout helps students to understand the concept of the spelling changes in these verbs. There is also a discussion on "short boots" or shoe verbs. For example: Tener where the yo form doesn't follow the pattern.
The teacher show go over each verb, moving the boot off of the verb and modeling how the spelling changes are made. There is a space for the student to write what the verb means and the context in which it is used. The chart is filled in so that the students have a correct study guide to begin using. The guide will fold into a tri-fold and fits well into their folders.
