This fun game will inspire students to practice conjugating boot verbs (stem-changing verbs) in Spanish!
The game is best played in groups of 2-6 and can be adapted to practice other verbs (present, past, irregulars, future, etc...).
The object of the game is for each team to fill up their turtle shell by conjugating present tense boot verbs correctly.
Each team receives a copy of a turtle and will play against another team. Each group of 2 teams will have an envelope of turtle shell pieces that they are to draw from each time they get a question correct. When they draw a piece that fits their shell, they are one step closer to winning. If they draw a piece that they already have (part of the other team's shell), they have to throw it back.
This file contains: 2 turtle sheets, 2 turtle shell sheets to cut out, question cards with verbs, game instruction sheet
A bit of preparation is required to make this game the first time (mainly cutting out shell pieces, but you can have students do this also) but once you have it made, it is very easy to pull out and use any time!
