Code Breakers is six part spelling series. This is the syllable type Bossy R /ar/ Syllables for students who are learning how to read words using phonics or for students who are struggling with decoding and encoding words in reading and writing. The other Bossy R syllable types (er, ir, ur as well as or) will each have a spelling unit. All of the units of spelling use vowel consonant patterns in syllables/words to identify letter sounds in order to decode unknown words or to encode, spell, known words in writing assignments. This package includes model instruction pages for Bossy /ar/ for the teacher and students, homework, class work and practice, and an /ar/ spelling list which assesses the mastery of the concept of bossy /ar/ syllables. The length of time for teaching this unit will be determined by the level and needs of the group.
