Included in this 17 slide presentation are the events leading up to the event colonists called the Boston Tea Party including a shift in power in Great Britain, the repeal of the Townshend Acts, the Tea Act, and colonial protests. Students will understand exactly what happened in the weeks and days leading up to the Boston Tea Party, what happened the night of December 16, 1773 and the punishments set forth immediately following the event.
The presentation is colorful and interactive, providing a warm up and questions for students to answer (I use think-pair-share) throughout.
Students can follow along with your notes or the "Boston Tea Party Worksheet" available in my store.
Used in 7th grade US history class, but can be modified for any grade level.
