This product uses QR codes to take your students to firsthand accounts of the Boston Tea Party on the Boston Tea Party Historical Society webpage. They read three different accounts given by participants during their lifetimes. Students will then compare and contrast these accounts, analyze artwork depicting the event and consider the pros and cons of British punishment on the colonies. All student work is recorded in this 8-page folded booklet. Just copy, staple and you’re ready to go.
Each small group of students will need access to a device that can use a QR code reader. You can find many different QR code reader apps for free. If you don’t have devices in your classroom, consider having students bring their own. This activity could also take place in a center to limit the number of devices needed.
