Objectives:
o Analyze the cause and effect relationship between the amount of water in a bottle and the ease of flipping it to land upright.
o Explain energy transformation in terms of the law of conservation of energy.
o Explain the relationship between potential and kinetic energy.
Materials:


● Large container filled with water
● Tall 250ml graduated cylinder
● 500ml (17fl.oz) plastic water bottle with lid.
● Tabletop that is cleared of other materials.


Students will attempt the bottle flip the bottle with various amount of water. At the conclusion of the activity they will explain the relationship between the amount of water in the bottle and how easily it lands upright.
