This is a Google Slides presentation that was designed to be used as a presentation with teacher guidance but can also be done individually with an audio option, for students in grades 1-5. This lesson is meant to be used in "Presentation" mode for the animations.

Bouncing Back to School After COVID was designed to be used as a positive transition activity back into school, but can be used at anytime and doesn't have to be connected to the quarantine. It includes 3 concepts:

1. Healthy expression of feelings (particularly during the quarantine) and addresses possible conflicting feelings that students might have had learning from home. This lesson also has students brainstorm healthy and unhealthy ways of dealing with overwhelming feelings.

2. The importance of Gratitude and the integration of a daily gratitude practice. This portion includes many ideas of activities that can be integrated into the classroom on a consistent basis to teach students to develop a natural tendency towards positivity.

3. Mindfulness & Changing the Changeables teaches students how to change things within their control and view the things not within their control in a different way. Students discover a different way of thinking about things that worry them. Many other mindfulness strategies and techniques are taught during this lesson to teach students to stay calm when having feelings that are overwhelming.
