This is an activity and game that teaches data collection, analysis, and constructing box and whisker plots. The method used to collect data can be applied to many other lessons that require data sets. The students play a game to test how "greedy" they are when collecting points and deciding whether or not to risk losing them. They then use the whole class data to calculate a five number summary (Min, Q1, Median, Q3, and Max). A box and whisker plot is constructed from this data and used to analyze the game.
