Box and Whisker Plots: Reading, interpreting, constructing. Box and whisker plots are graphical representations that summarize 5 key data points. These worksheets provide introductory notes that may be used with direct instruction and printed out for student notes. I have found that students are often overwhelmed when given numerous problems on box and whisker plots and will therefore not complete assigned homework on the topic. I created these as warm-up activities to alleviate that problem. Students work on one plot daily and take a quiz at the end of each week. The first week focuses on reading and interpreting box plots. The second week focuses on the construction of box plots.
