Lego Pinball Stem Challenge:
A fun culminating activity to sum up your unit on Simple Machines! Students will incorporate at least 3 simple machines into the construction of their very own Lego pinball machines! Contains 4 worksheets to help students organize what they have learned about simple machines.

Ice Cream in a Bag Experiment:
A fun and delicious culminating activity or STEM challenge for your unit on states of matter! (solids, liquids, and gases)
* Cut & Paste Sequencing Worksheet - students will learn the ingredients and steps for making ice cream in a ziplock bag!
*Review worksheet - students will classify ingredients into solids, liquids, and gases. This worksheet also includes a fill in the blanks section that reviews terms such as freezing point and chemical reactions.
*Ice Cream Lab Worksheet - Children will complete a hypothesis, draw their observations, and complete a fill in the blanks conclusion.
Quicksand Stem Challenge:
Is it a liquid or a solid? Kids will have fun exploring the impact of force on non-Newtonian fluids by making their own quicksand out of cornstarch and water. Includes 4 challenges that lead students to answer the question of whether the size and shape of an object impacts how easy it will be to escape.
*Challenge 1: Make and rescue a plasticine figure from the quicksand
*Challenge 2: Make a ball out of liquid
*Challenge 3: Smack the liquid without creating splatter
*Challenge 4: Rescue 3 different sized objects from the quicksand
Also includes a fill in the blanks section emphasizing the characteristics of a non-Newtonian fluid and and instruction sheet on how to make the quicksand mixture.
Foosball Stem Challenge:
Looking for a great culminating activity for your unit on Forces and Motion? Have your students create their own foosball game out of a shoebox!
This Stem Challenge contains:
- Step by step instructions on how to make a foosball box
- An investigative questions worksheet with a fill in the blanks conclusion that reviews key concepts involving Newton's first law of motion
- A Forces and Motion Crossword puzzle that reviews and defines terms pertaining to forces and motion.
