Reader's theatre is an excellent way to help students practice fluency, and to encourage students to read out loud.
This is a reader's theatre for Chapter 13 of The Boy In the Striped Pyjamas. The chapter is very lengthy, but includes a lot of dialogue in which student can practice their tone and inflections.
Differentiation: If students are not strong readers there are also parts that are written to be short (1-2 lines) so students can participate without feeling overwhelmed. There are also some longer parts (including possibly 3 or more lines) for stronger readers.
