The lesson includes two sessions and it integrates math in teaching Chinese language. Select 10 volunteers: 5 girls and 5 boys. Have them stand in a row in a boy-girl pattern. Say:This is a boy; That is a girl. A boy – a girl; a boy – a girl…After placing all 10 volunteers and identified them as indicated above, go back to the beginning of the row and tap each child in turn, repeating the pattern. Teachers can vary the pattern by having students create “GBB” (girl boy boy)or “GGB” (girl girl boy) pattern.In session two, teachers can have students form inner circle and outer circle and have them play "Guess Who" game.
